Liverpool have released their financial statements for last season, showing that Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff received a £9.6million payout when they left Anfield.

The Reds revealed the financial figures for the year to 31 May 2024 on Friday, showing a £57m loss due to their failure to play in the Champions League last season, but total revenue rose by £20m to £614m.

The club’s commercial revenue (£308m) and matchday revenue (£102m) rose to new records due to the expansion of their Anfield Road stadium, but media revenue fell by £38m (to £204m) due to the failure to play in the ‘Big Ears’.
Staff expenses, including player salaries and bonuses, rose by £13m to £386m, largely on the back of Champions League and League Cup wins.
